Sometimes even the most Easy simple nail art can actually be the most stunning, especially if you've coordinated your nail colors with your outfit or with the season or holiday. And if you've heard the expression 'less is more,' it applies to nail art too!
And for beginner's nail art, simple really is better! So what kinds of things can you do to add some spark and sparkle to your nails without going overboard and without spending a ton of cash on expensive tools and gadgets?
Here are three ways you can inexpensively add some shine and fun to your nails with some simple nail art techniques using nail stickers, stamping and just some different colors of nail polish or lacquer.
1. Nail Art Stickers
Yup! Stickers. Stickers are everywhere. Kids love them. They're great stocking stuffers at Christmas, basket stuffers at Easter or just any time of the year. And stickers make awesome simple nail art tools too.You can get nail art stickers for seasons, holidays, cartoon characters, flowers, really just about anything.
There are a couple types of nail stickers you can get, either of which is even used in professional salons.
The first is simply peel and stick; peel from the backing and stick them on your nails, smooth them out and follow with a clear coat of polish to protect them.
Waterslide decals slide from the backing after being soaked in water for a few seconds. Slip them off the backing and onto your nails, move them around until they're in place, and follow with a clear top coat.
There are also rub-on stickers similar to rub-on tattoos but smaller since they're for your nails. You can even use newspaper clippings as rub-on nail art too. This is a pretty cool concept if you're an avid reader!

2. Nail Art Stamping
This is still a pretty new concept in simple nail art and you can make literally hundreds of designs by doing a mix-and-match with some of the design plates.And yes, these designs are about the same as your nail technician would use stencils to create on your nails at the salon. But why pay more?
3. Random Abstract Lines and Dots
So you don't want to buy stickers or stamping kits. You have a variety of nail lacquer colors so why not do some really cheap, fun and simple nail art with some freehand designs?Paint your nails a dark color and then add some white swishes, swirls and random abstract lines in lighter colors and you have some wild and crazy nail art going that your friends will love.
Or around the Fourth of July and New Year's give yourself some of these lines, swirls and dots, and your simple nail art designs turn into some cool fireworks displays!
